Airtel Malawi Donates K25 Million To National Team

Airtel Malawi has today donated K25m towards Kuipatsa Moto Flames fundraising drive at a function that took place at Airtel Complex in Lilongwe.

Airtel Malawi executive director Charles Kamoto presented the donation which is towards the Malawi National Football team’s preparations for the 2022 African Cup of Nations AFCON competition.

Kamoto said they thought of supporting the team so that they could ease the burden for the team ahead of their participation in African Cup of Nations AFCON competition.

Kamoto said they understand that there was a deficit in the budget towards Afcon competition and that is why they decided to assist.

Football Association of Malawi vice president Jabber Alide who received the donation expressed gratitude to the telecommunications company saying the money is a windfall and will go a long way in helping the Flames fine tune for the Africa’s largest and most glamorous Football competition.
