Police in Dowa are keeping in custody a 35 year old man, Chimwemwe Nowa for sodomising a 25 year old man, Atusaye Mwaneitete.

According to Dowa Police Spokesperson, Gladson M’bumpha, the suspect and the victim were drinking beer at a drinking joint at Mvera Trade Centre Saturday night.

The two slept together in a house close to the drinking joint where Nowa allegedly sodomised Mwenekitete in the wee hours of that today while he was in deep sleep.

The suspect produced k2000 to silence the victim but he refused.

Suspect is yet to appear in court.
