6 year old boy dies after a wall collapsed on him in Phalombe

A Six year old child from Traditional Authority Mlomba in Machinga District has died after a wall collapsed on him due to heavy winds that have been blowing in the district since Saturday.
Machinga Disitrict Commissioner Rosemary Nawasha said another man has his speech impaired after being hit by lightning.
Nawasha further said about 61houses, two classroom blocks and other structures have been blown off in the areas of Traditional Authorities Nkoola, Mlomba and Kapoloma in the district.
Currently, the DC says her office has already sent a report to the Department of Disaster Management Affairs to request for assistance for the affected families.
