A key murder suspect in the killing of a 14-year-old boy with albinism Yosefe Muyaya from Phalombe, has died.

The suspect, Zione Mukhala, aged 72,  who was on remand at Mulanje prison, died on Friday at Mulanje district hospital where she was being treated.

Mulanje Prison Spokesperson, Grey Ng’omba asked for more time before speaking on the matter.

The suspect is among six others, one of who bolted.

Remains of the boy were allegedly discovered last year in a pit latrine of Mukhala.

The suspect last appeared in court on the 2nd of November, this year.
