Malawi Congress Party (MCP) youths have challenged the organizer of Malawi Sali Bwino demonstrations Bon Kalindo to take his protests in the capital, Lilongwe.
Kalindo who is protesting against President Lazarus Chakwera administration of failing to fulfil campaign promises started his series in Blantyre last Friday and announcing that this week he will be in Lilongwe on the same course.
However, some MCP youths in Dowa has threatened to deal with Kalindo adding that they will not allow him to hold the demonstrations in Lilongwe this coming Friday.
The party youths led by Sajeni Wilibesi and Macloyd Chilunjika allege that Kalindo has pocketed huge sums of money from some opposition political parties to make this country ungovernable warning they will deal with him once he comes to Lilongwe next Friday.
But, Kalindo says demonstrations are on next Friday in Lilongwe saying “no one can stop me from demonstrating because it is my constitutional right to demonstrate”.
Kalindo is accusing the Tonse Alliance of massive corruption and failing to fulfil campaign promises.
While protesting in the commercial city in Blantyre, he gave government a 14 day ultimatum to address the issues raised.
However, President Lazarus Chakwera while admitting that people are suffering, he has asked the general public to endure the pain a little longer as government is furnishing ways to address the challenges.
