Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) vice president for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa has reportedly agreed to withdraw all court cases against the party alongside other party members.
Nankhumwa, Secretary General Greizelder Jeffrey, Treasurer Jappie Mhango and Yusuf Nthenda were expelled from the party for allegedly undermining the party’s leadership.
The party’s spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba has confirmed of the development saying all the six have agreed to withdraw their court case against the party following a meeting the party’s president Peter Mutharika who is also the country’s former head of state met presidential aspirants over the weekend.
However, Lawyer for the Nankhumwa, Gift Khonyongwa says he is yet to receive communication from his client on the direction of their court case against the party.
Nankhumwa is also yet to comment on the matter.
