The Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) has re-elected Sheikh Idris Muhammad as chairperson for the next ten years.

The elections took place today in Blantyre.

Chairperson of the board of trustees for MAM Sheikh Alie Kennedy said the election was free and fair.

Muhammad will be serving his third term after first being elected to the position in 2011.
