Two Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Members of Parliament who also happens to be Cabinet Ministers have assured the general Public that things will normalize soon as government is working tireless to contain the situation.
The two, Ulemu Msungama, Minister of Youths and Sports and his counterpart Minister of Foreign Affairs and MCP’s Secretary General Eisenhower Mkaka were speaking at a rally in Msungama’s constituency.
In his remarks, Msungama admitted that things are hard due to the rising cost of living but asked Malawians to exercise patience as things will soon get back on track.
Mkaka also admitting that things are worse, he was quick to excuse himself saying it is a global issue hence Malawians should not panic as the government under the leadership of President Lazarus Chakwera is working on stabilizing the situation.
“We accept the reality that prices of things are rising, and this is a global trend and soon things will normalize in the country,” he said.
Mkaka added that it is the desire of Chakwera for the people to be hopeful that the socio-economic challenges rocking the country, will improve soon.
