Mpinganjira’s bail hearing underway

The High Court in Blantyre has commenced hearing of a bail application pending for appeal by business mogul Thom Mpinganjira.
Mpinganjira is appealing his 9 year conviction after being found guilty of attempting to bribe five High Court judges who presided over the 2019 presidential election.
Justice John Chirwa is hearing the application.
However ,the case is being heard in chamber (the public and press are not allowed to observe the procedure).
