President Filipe Nyusi of the Republic of Mozambique and First Lady Madam Isaura Nyusi have returned home after a three-day State Visit to Malawi.

President Nyusi was seen off by President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and Madam Monica Chakwera at the Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.

Whilst in the country the two leaders and the First Ladies conducted several official engagements, that include holding bilateral talks aimed at strengthening Malawi – Mozambique relationship.

The two leaders also took time to appreciate the Malawi – Mozambique Electricity Interconnection Project which is expected to add at least 50 megawats to Malawi’s electricity grid.
