The President of Malawi Lazarus Chakwera and his vice, Saulos Chilima, are expected to attend the installation of Bishop George Tambala on Saturday as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lilongwe.

Director of Ceremonies in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe Fr. Augustine Kaliu told journalists a while ago in Lilongwe that all is now set for the installation ceremony.

Bishop Tambala was appointed Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lilongwe by Pope Francis.

Up until his appointment, Bishop Tambala headed the Diocese of Zomba.

Tambala replaces Archbishop Tarsizius Gervasio Ziyaye who died December 13, 2020.
