The One Stop Centre at Mzuzu Central Hospital has been temporarily Closed a development which has affected clients mainly victims of various forms of Gender Based Violence (GBV) who had to be turned away un attended on Monday.

Random Interviews with some clients who visited the Centre revealed that no-one was attended on Monday.

Two weeks ago, the Mzuzu Central Hospital administration moved its One Stop Center to its Open Patient Department (OPD) and the center’s premise was turned into a temporal Covid-19 management center a development the hospital’s Public Relations Officer Arnold Kaira said was for a short while.

“There are renovations taking place at the Covid-19 management center, hence we decided to use the One Stop Center as a temporary management center; we hope the facility will return to its premises once renovations are over,” he said.

Meanwhile the Hospital PRO has not disclosed as to when will the OSC start operating normally.
