The Ministry’s Chief Youth Officer, Deus Lupenga said next year the projects will extend to other three districts in order to empower more youth to fully engage with their societies as active citizens.

Lupenga said this in Thyolo on Thursday during the dissemination of the Youth Innovation Challenge to Youth Technical Working Group in the district.

“We did pilot for the project in the mentioned districts and the results showed that the project is really helping youth in several ways including employment. So we thought it wise to extend to other four districts,” said Lupenga.

Thyolo District Youth Officer, Chikondi Chasukwa applauded the ministry for bringing the project, saying it will help more youth to be productive and avoid bad behaviours.
