Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has canceled the much anticipated media briefing on Malawi’s current economic situation slated for tomorrow December 7, 2021.
This is the second time for the party to cancel the briefing in a space of three weeks.
DPP Spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
“DPP wishes to inform its membership and the general public that the Press Briefing on Malawi’s current economic situation which was supposed to take place tomorrow, 7th December, 2021 has been postponed to next week due MEC Constituency demarcation meetings which are currently taking place in all districts this week.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may have caused,” reads in part the statement.
Among other things, the media briefing was scheduled to centre on the economic woes affecting the country.
