Kasungu police have arrested three suspected motorcycle thieves for allegedly robbing one Joel Kamanga of his King Lion motorcycle and cellphone over the weekend.
Kasungu police spokesperson Joseph Kachikho said the three reportedly asked Kamanga for a lift at Chipumba Village in the area of Chief Wimbe in the district claiming their motorcycle had broken before the alleged robbery.
But villagers came to the rescue of Kamanga to arrest all the three suspects and recovered the stolen items after shouting for help.
The three suspects who are identified as Masutso Banda, 25, Abel Banda, 21and Frank Phiri, 22 are expected to appear in court soon to answer robbery charge.
