Police in Dowa have arrested a 37-year old man for allegedly defiling a girl under the age of 16 years.

The suspect has been identified as Foster Kanseza and it is reported that, suspect had been doing this for the period of 2 years until the time the victim’s mother noticed some physical changes on her body.

Upon realizing the changes, the suspect was prompted to chase the victim out of his house since he impregnated her.

Now the victim has a baby boy who is 1 year and 3 months old.

The suspect will appear in court soon to answer the charge of Defilement which contravenes section 138 of the penal code.

Foster hails from Chimombo Village in Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa District.
