Unknown male person aged approximately 30 years have been murdered in Mponela, Dowa.

Mponela Police Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Macpatson Msadala, said that the incident occurred during the night of December 5-6,2021 at Chakhala Village along Chimwaza Nambuma earth road in the area of Traditional Authority Mponela in the District.

The dead body was conveyed to Dowa District hospital mortuary pending identification and postmortem.

Meantime investigations are in progress to arrest the culprits.
