A 20-year-old youth who was initially believed to have died by suicide here was allegedly murdered by his mother. The crime occurred a year ago, but his mother has recently confessed that she strangled him after he tried to attack his sister.
The 43-year-old accused, identified as Nadira, has been arrested by the police. She, during questioning, told the police that her son, identified as Siddique, used to thrash her and her daughter after taking drugs. On September 20 last year, he allegedly made an attempt to attack his sister. Nadira intervened and strangled him to death. Later, Nadira and her daughter informed that he committed suicide.
The post-mortem examination of the deceased established that he was strangled. Nadira has now confessed that she strangled him to death after he tried to attack her daughter, according to a report published by India Today.
This comes days after a 55-year-old woman in Perumbakam area of Tamil Nadu’s Chennai allegedly buried her 59-year-old husband alive in order to help him attain immortality. The crime came to light after the victim’s daughter, an IT professional returned home and found her father missing. The woman was arrested while her husband’s body was exhumed and sent for post-mortem examination.
In yet another case, a 40-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 32-year-old wife to death in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. The accused, identified as BR Kantharaju, suspected that his wife, Roopa HG, was having extramarital relationships with her two male family members. His suspicion deepened when he saw her dancing with the two during a family trip, according to reports. An argument flared up between the couple over the issue. The accused, in a fit of rage, stabbed his wife to death.
