Former local government minister, Ben Phiri, has been arrested by the police in the capital Lilongwe.
Phiri handed himself in this morning at area 30, police headquarters.
He is also wanted by law enforcement in relation to operations during the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regime.
On Tuesday, the police also arrested former Minister of Finance Joseph Mwanamvekha on grounds that he cooked up figures on the economic status of the country.
