A 31-year-old-man, White Yohane, is in police custody in Salima for being found in possession of 37 bags of fertilizer from the Affordable Input Program suspected to have been illegally acquired.
Police from Chipoka Police Post got a tip that the suspect was buying fertilizer from AIP beneficiaries at Lifidzi trade centre.
Following the tip, police officers arrested the suspect and seized the bags of fertilizer which include 20 NPK and 17 Urea bags.
Yohane hails from Mangamphasa Village in Traditional Authority Tambala in Dedza District.
