Former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) will hold a rally at Njamba Freedom Park in Blantyre this coming Sunday.
DPP Regional Governor for the South Charles Mchacha has confirmed of the rally in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
According to a letter seen by this publication, on Monday Mchacha held a meeting with all DPP MPs at the party’s regional headquarters in Blantyre.
The meeting was also graced by all candidates who are vying for the Party’s Presidency ahead of the elective conference slated for 2023.
This will be the first public rally for Mutharika since losing the Presidential polls on June 23, 2020.
