Former President Peter Mutharika and United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi will this coming Sunday attend Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) mega rally slated for Njamba Freedom Park in the commercial capital Blantyre.
This will be the first rally for the two since losing the June 23, 2021 fresh Presidential polls which saw President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera emerging victorious.
Mutharika picked Atupele Muluzi as his runningmate in the polls.
According to information at hand, the rally has been organized to criticize the Tonse Alliance administration for failing to fulfill some the campaign promises.
The rally is also scheduled to centre on the recent arrest of some top officials of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
Meanwhile, Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has canceled its rally slated for Chirimba this coming Saturday.
