Former United Transformation Movement (UTM) National Youth Director Bon Kalindo has cancelled peaceful demonstrations against rising costs of living slatted for Blantyre and Karonga this coming Thursday.
Kalindo, popularly known as Winiko has announced this during media briefing held in the capital Lilongwe today.
He said the demonstrations will take a 10 days break until 5th January next year.
Kalindo said this has been done to give time to Malawians to enjoy Christmas and New Year holidays but called for prayers, during this time, for change in the country.
He reiterated the call for government to address a myriad of economic hardships and broken promises.
