Councillor Juliana Kaduya has lost the mayorship to Councillor Richard Banda in the polls that were conducted today in Lilongwe.
Kaduya amassed six votes against Banda’s 13.
The new deputy mayor is Esther Sagawa who got a total of 17 votes, beating six contenders.
