Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has torn apart President Lazarus Chakwera’s Covid-19 Economic Recovery Plan, describing it as empty.
According to DPP Spokesperson, Shadreck Namalomba, the Plan is not addressing the sufferings that Malawians are facing now.
“The vice president has prescribed actions to be done under each focus area and proposed their budget requirements.
The Party said the president must go back, revise the Plan and come out with immediate solutions such as removing Value Added Tax on basic commodities and provide the cash transfer to the most vulnerable Malawians.
