Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has said it will from January 2022 roll out electronic candidate registration and examination payment to fast track processes and reduce challenges it has been facing from manual registration.

MANEB’s Executive Director Dorothy Nampota made this announcement on Wednesday at Golden Peacock Hotel in Lilongwe as she briefed the press.

“We are migrating to this electronic payment to among other reasons ease life, candidates will pay at the comfort of their homes and in real time with MANEB savers other than the manual system which carried many errors and queries.

“The other advantage is that there shall be high level of transparency, and will curb the chances of school administrators embezzling examination fees, that failed money candidates not sitting for examinations,” she alluded.

Nampota said the first phase will roll out on 4th January to 18 February 2022 starting with three education divisions namely; Northern, Western and South East Divisions which carters for 19 educational districts.
