Do you lost your phone with your BVN-BOUND SIM card and you are afraid of thieves who may steal your bank information on your phone? This is nothing to worrying about. I have got a solution for you. First and foremost, you will need to call your telecom provider to do this for you.

However, regarding this article, I am going to show you 3 things you need for deactivation of your stolen or lost SIM Card for fear of theft. Here are 3 of them.

1. IMEI code

In order to block your lost or stolen phone, one of the requirements of your telecom provider is IMEl code. The digits of IMEl code varies from one phone maker to the others. The code is between 15 – 17 digits depending on your phone’s model. IMEl code is unique to each phone. Just type *#60# on your phone and your IMEI code will display on your screen. Please store this code in a secure place in case of emergency. Alternatively, if your phone pack is still very much with you, your IMEI code is written at one corner of your phone pack.

2. Personal Identification Number (PIN).

This is otherwise known as personal identification number. It is a 4 digit code you created by yourself to prevent a another person from accessing your phone without your consent. This PIN is the one you have to enter whenever you switch your phone on. It is important to use a code you can easily remember. At that, don’t you a loose codes that can be easily guess by another person for a security reason.

3. Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) number and your SIM card Serial number.

PUK is known as Personal Unblocking Key. Apart from the fact that you will need it for your SIM card deactivation, both your PUK and your serial numbers can also be useful in the area of SIM card reactivation. To find the two, you may need to check your SIM pack very well. I think formerly, some telecom providers do write this on SIM pack. If you cannot find it on your SIM pack, it means you will need to call your telecom provider either online or by telephone to request for them.
