Social Media has dragged United Democratic Front President (UDF) incumbent Leader Atupele Muluzi who is also son to the former Leader Bakili Muluzi for leaving his sick Mother in Kenya in what is being described as a move to please DPP leader Peter Mutharika.
On 19th December this year, the two opposition parties organised a joint rally at the historic Njamba Freedom Park that was aimed at apologising to the malawian citizenry following the current political status, despite them not doing so.
The rally was graced by both Mutharika and Muluzi as the top headliners.
However it has emerged that Young Muluzi who was few days before the event was in Kenya cheering her sick mother the former first Lady Anne Muluzi who was at the time receiving medical treatment left her for Njamba Joint rally, a development that has left many in disbelief.
Taking to social media, one user wrote:
“Atupele Muluzi left his ill mother in Kenya just for the sake of pleasing Peter Mutharika. Now she is no more, what is he going to make out of it? Rest in peace mama “
Anne died of cancer on Tuesday night at Aga Nkhan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.
Atupele confirmed the sad through a facebook post writing: “We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.”
Anne was the country’s first woman to serve as the first lady.
