The body of Denis Chitete who until his death was serving as Vicar General for Karonga Diocese was laid to rest on Monday.
Father Chitete died on December 24, 2021 at Kamuzu Central Hospital where he was receiving treatment, according to Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) Secretary General Father Henry Saindi.
The burial of father Chitete started with mass which was laid by Bishop Mathews Mtumbuka of the diocese.
Father Chitete died at the age of 53.
