Two artists have been acquitted by the Choma Magistrate Court for the offence of insulting Former President Edgar Lungu in a political song released in January this year.

Senior Resident Magistrate Peter Mungala threw away the case after the State failed to bring witnesses to the Courts of Law since June this year.

Lungu who has ruled Zambia for at least six years, lost to his main rival Hakainde Hichilema of United Nation Development Party (UNPD).
