Police in Bangwe township in Blantyre have arrested five men suspected to be involved in a series of house breaking and robberies.

Limbe Police spokesperson Inspector Patrick Mussa has identified the suspects as Robert Chinsomba, 19, Leonard Antony 25, Yusuf Kazembe 32, Romio Makanjira, 24, and Charles Mapundi, 25.

Inspector Mussa said the detectives have so far managed to recover the following property worth millions;  three plasma TV screens, amplifiers, subwoofers, home theatres, three hybrid speakers, four cellphones, one computer, four sound mixers among others.

The suspects have since been charged with burglary and theft, and are expected to appear in court soon.
