A 37 year old man, Geoffrey Banda has been killed by lightning in Kasungu District.

Kasungu Police spokesperson, Joseph Kachikho, confirmed that the incident happened on January 3 in the area of Senior Chief Kaomba in the district.

He said Banda was at his home mending a bicycle when the lightning struck him and he collapsed on the spot.

According to Kachikho, the deceased was rushed to Kawamba Health Centre where death was confirmed on arrival.
