Youths under the banner Anti-Corruption Movement Team has asked President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to fire Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Minister Kezzie Msukwa.
Msukwa was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on allegations of corrupt practices in relation to how Zuneth Sattar acquired plots of land but High Court Judge Zione Ntaba, sitting in Zomba, stopped the arrest for, at least, seven days after being moved by Msukwa, who also applied for leave of judicial review on his arrest.
Leader of the grouping Mathews Kajani said another option is for the minister himself to voluntarily step down.
When asked for comment State House Press Officer Anthony Kasunda said Chakwera will look into the matter after winding up his festive season holiday.
Msukwa is the third Cabinet Minister to be embroiled in dubious deals.
