AMERICA – A 10 year old, Nyla Anderson has died days after joining “blackout challenge” on TikTok.
The challenge tells participants to hold their breath until they faint which the teenager did but it was her last time being on earth after she was found unconscious in her bedroom.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit for days before she died on December 12.
“She happened to be on her own bedroom of her house, with her family at home but no one was in the bedroom with her when this happened,” said Elizabeth Wood, clinical social worker.
Her family is still shocked with the tragic death of their child.
“I’m so hurt, this is a pain that won’t go away, Its at the top of my throat. I am so hurt,” said her mother Tawainna Anderson.
The family has since warned other parents to keep a close eye on their children to prevent it from happening.
