Unknown criminals have killed two security guards who were in the line of duty at Mchiliko village in the area of Traditional Authority Tengani in Nsanje district in the wee hours of today.
Nsanje police spokesperson, Sub Inspector Zalakoma has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
Zalakoma identified the two security guards as Notice Aaron aged 45 and Lingi James, aged 55, all of Mchakalima village under Traditional Authority Tengani.
The unknown thugs severely wounded the two watchmen who were by then on guard at a shop belonging to Isaac Sitifano.
The police say “the two security guards were pronounced dead upon arrival at Nsanje district hospital.”
“Nothing has been stolen however we have launched a manhunt for the suspected criminals who will answer murder charges,” said Zalakoma.
Police have since launched a manhunt.
