Meanwhile motorists are scrambling for the commodity at Mount Meru filling station in Area 49, but one of the fuel attendants at the station Zione Chavura has assured that the service station has enough fuel in stock.
Further reports show that some filling stations have been empty for two days.
The panic is coming barely three days after Chief Executive Officer for the Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) Henry Kachaje dismissed fears of a looming fuel crisis as he gave an assurance that the country has adequate fuel to last at least a week.
