Organizer of Friday’s Blantyre demonstrations Bon Kalindo has been summoned to appear in court on the same day as the demos to answer intimidation
“Whereas your presence is necessary to answer charges hereunder set out you are hereby required to appear in person before this court on the 14th day of January 2022,”
Meanwhile, Kalindo is in Blantyre with his loud-hailing system is driving around the city of Blantyre to announce that the demonstrations are on tomorrow.
Kalindo has been organizing series of demonstrations against Tonse Alliance government citing failure to fulfill campaign promises.
Kalindo has also been demanding president Lazarus Chakwera to resign for failing to rule the country.
However government has been faulting Civil Society Organizations of mobilizing people to go to the streets saying government is working hard to ensure that things are back to normal.
