The Supreme Court of Appeal in Blantyre is this morning expected to start hearing Thom Mpinganjira’s appeal case in which he is challenging the high court’s decision to deny him bail.
Last month, the High Court Judge John Chirwa dismissed with costs convicted Mpinganjira’s bail application for both his sentence and conviction pending an appeal.
The convicted business mogul is serving a 9 year jail term for attempting to bribe the five High Court Judges seated as a Constitutional Court who were hearing the 2019 Presidential Elections nullification case.
