Ministry of Homeland Security has said that the construction works of Blantyre Police are at an advanced stage.

The Ministry’s spokesperson Andrew Nyondo said the construction of the police is expected to finish by July this year.

The Minister of Homeland Security Richard Chimwendo Banda  is this Friday expected to tour the construction site.

The ministry’s spokesperson Andrew Nyondo in a statement, says the new station is a 3-year project funded by tax payers.

“The project commenced mid-2020. It is expected to finish by July this year,” says Nyondo.

Initially, Capital Hill made a commitment to complete the project within the stipulated project duration.
