Leader and founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) prophet Shepherd Bushiri has challenged his pastors to stay away from partisan politics.

This is according to a statement released by Bushiri’s spokesperson Ephraim Nyondo.

In the statement, Bushiri called on the pastors to focus on supporting their sitting governments in their respective countries with development projects.

According to Bushiri, ECG church subscribes to the principle of having the church complementing the State in its efforts of providing social services to the people.

The youth leader and entrepreneur also challenged his pastors of not only have plans of constructing prayer houses.

As a matter of policy, they should balance by ensuring that they also build a school or a hospital for their communities, called out Bushiri.
