Over 2500 households have been displaced by floods in Nsanje District.
According to a preliminary report by Nsanje District Council, public structures such as schools and health centres have also been affected.
Currently the district is still conducting rescue mission to those feared trapped.
However, Nsanje District Disaster Risk and Rehabilitation Officer, Blessings Kamtema, says the rescue mission has been slow due to shortage of rescue materials such as boats.
Meanwhile, four people are feared dead.
