Following a tip from members of the public that the farm is selling diseased chickens, Lusaka Mayor Chilando Chitangala in the company of other civil leaders raided a Chinese poultry farm.
The raid follows the apprehension of chicken traders at Lusaka Soweto Market after they were discovered selling chicken, unsafe for human consumption by alert council officers.
Some of the arrested women led the mayor and her team to some Chinese owned farms situated in Kalungu area along Mumbwa road where they ordered the dead diseased chickens at K10 and K15.
