The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has asked President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to appoint a lean Cabinet.
In a statement signed by the party’s Spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba, the DPP is suggesting that the new cabinet should be reduced from 31 to 20 members including the President and his Vice.
The statement further suggests that the new cabinet should not only accommodate people from the same region to ensure effective delivery.
President Chakwera dissolved his entire cabinet on Monday evening where he pledged to announce a new cabinet within 48 hours which ends tonight.
