Chakwera Declares Districts Affected By Cyclone Ana As Areas Of Disaster

President Lazarus Chakwera has declared all districts affected by the Tropical Cyclone Ana as areas of Disaster.
The declaration of the state of disaster comes following calls from leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa, who asked the president to make the declaration.
Nankhumwa told us earlier yesterday that, making the declaration would facilitate and attract humanitarian assistance for reconstruction and rehabilitation.
The Cyclone Ana started causing its damage in the Southern part of the country on Monday 24 January.
