President Lazarus Chakwera will open 2022-2023 budget meeting expected to commence on February 3, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Parliament Chamber, Speaker Catherine Gotani Hara confirmed.
According to the statement, the budget meeting will be held from February 3– April 1st 2022 at parliament building.
“The Office of the Speaker of the National Assembly wishes to inform Members of the Parliament, the general public and all stakeholders that his Excellency the President of the Republic of Malawi Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will officially open the 2022-2023 Budget Meeting of Parliament on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10:00am in the parliament chamber,” read part of the statement.
The statement continued; “The Budget Meeting will be held from Thursday, February 3, to Friday, April 1st 2022at Parliament Building. This will be the first meeting of the Assembly in the 49th session of Parliament.”
The statement further said that all guests to take part in the official opening of the session must have a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate else a valid negative covid-19 results.
