The president Lazarus Chakwera released a final 29 member cabinet yesterday which includes 17 men and 12 women.

Following the decision, Chairperson of Public Appointments Committee (PAC) of Parliament, Joyce Chitsulo has hailed President Chakwera saying he has fulfilled gender requirement cited by law.

“This means the country now has 41% women representation, meeting the 40:60 ratio gender requirements as per law,” she said.

Chakwera has appointed honorable Nancy Tembo as minister of Foreign affairs, honorable Jean Sendeza as minister as Homeland Security, honorable Agness  Nyalonje has returned his position as minister of Education, honorable Patricia Kaliati as minister of Gender  and many more.
