Some angry teachers in Zomba have stormed District Council Office over January salaries.
According to reports, Over 200 primary school teachers were removed from the payroll for unknown reasons and they are demanding answers on the issue.
One of the disgruntled teachers, who opted for anonymity, said officials at the District Education office told them to file letters to claim their salaries.
The teacher said unsatisfied with the response, they opted to storm the District Commissioner’s office to seek his intervention on the matter.
Meanwhile, officials at the district council and the teacher’s representatives are currently locked in a meeting.
