NIGERIA – Police have arrested Onyedika Nnofu for allegedly killing 47-year-old visually impaired brother Maduabuchi Nnofu and setting ablaze his corpse.
According to police, the two brothers argued over piece of land with anger, Nnofu killed his brother who was a chairman of of Joint National Association of Persons with Disability.
“Preliminary information showed that the brothers were having issues (conflict) over land,” According to the police spokesperson.
This did not go well with member of the organization saying their chairman was killed because he was blind and helpless.
The organization asked the police to ensure the suspect and his other conspirators were duly punished for the murder to prevent further maltreatment of persons living with disabilities.
“We are demanding justice for the late Maduabuchi.
Nnofu is currently being interrogated by police.
