President Lazarus Chakwera has hinted that his administration is working towards fulfilling one of the campaign promises of creating 1 million jobs as over 900, 000 jobs have been created in the last two years.

Chakwera made the remarks in Lilongwe during the opening of fifth meeting of the 49 session of parliament.

According to Chakwera the jobs are form both public and private sectors.

“We have not reached our target of one million jobs due three waves of Covid-19 but the number of jobs created in Malawi is over 900,000 in the last two years,” he said.
