Police in Zambia have arrested unidentified man on suspicion that he burnt his wife Anna Miti to death in shop.

According to eye witnesses, nothing else in the shop where the couple was sleeping at the time of the incident caught fire apart from the woman which is very suspicious.

Police in the Eastern Province have launched investigations in a case where a woman identified as Anna Miti aged 30 is suspected to have been burnt to death by her husband.

The police said they suspect foul play, adding that the husband of the deceased has handed himself to the police to help with investigations.

Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigations on the issue.
